Like most Pol-Soc teachers, I’ve been drowning in Citizenship Projects in recent weeks, but now as the mist clears, attention shifts back to the final exam.
As always, one of the areas that students are most concerned about is the Data-Based Question. So to help with that (and to celebrate the impending launch of the 2nd Edition of the “Dealing with Data” book!!!), I’m working with McAndrew Books to deliver a workshop THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON focusing on techniques that will help students to approach the DBQ in an exam setting.
The workshop will include a step-by-step guide to approaching the different kinds of questions, along with exemplar answers and “lessons learned” from past answers (graded by the SEC) and working out what we can learn from that process.
The workshop can be attended in person (in the Hyatt Centric – The Liberties – near St Patrick’s Cathedral), or can be viewed online.

Hopefully, I’ll see some of you there on the day (in real life or virtually)
And don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of time for questions on any part of the course that you might be interested in or worried about. I’ll do my best to answer any questions or queries!
just wondering if the session will be recorded? There’s a small clash with Louth vs Meath game in Croke Park 😉
